Description of Process

The following was found and raised by a vendor during routine maintenance.

Description of Incident

During routine maintenance, it was found that the manual winch crank handle of the lifeboat was misaligned due to a bent stowage bracket which prevented full rotation of the handle. This would have prevented the remote launching of the lifeboat by the Coxwain.
